Tuesday, August 12 from 5:00-8:00pm

In this workshop, participants will learn to use the table saw, router table, miter saw, drills, and drivers to make a custom picture frame. Participants will choose the size of their frame, with a max size of 18” x 18”. Back panel and hardware will be provided but Glass will not be. However, we will discuss affordable options where glass can be cut. This class is open to all! No woodworking experience required.

About the Instructor

Chelsea Van Voorhis is a visual artist and woodworker that uses a traditional medium of wood veneer to create non-traditional pieces with strong social and political commentary surrounding the female experience. Her passion is teaching at nonprofits and community organizations who encourage accessibility and inclusivity in craft. Chelsea lives in New Orleans with her rescue pup, Muppet.
